EAA conference in Belfast

Geoff travelled to the EAA 2023 conference in Belfast to present in two sessions. In Session #475 on the Initial Upper Palaeolithic he presented his work on the diet and subsistence of the earliest Homo sapiens from Bacho Kiro Cave, published in the Journal of Human Evolution.

In Session #380 on Neanderthal adaptation to northern environments he presented work lead by Karen contextualising the results from our ZooMS analyses at Salzgitter Lebenstedt. This talk also highlighted the potential of ZooMS to enhance reconstructions of Neanderthal subsistence strategies in northern environments, and we look forward to further apply ZooMS to northern contexts.
